Planner data

BackdropFit performs calculations in your browser. It does not require an account and does not upload your room, equipment or shoot measurements to a BackdropFit database.

Saved plans

When you choose “Save on this device,” the plan is stored in your browser’s local storage. Clearing site data removes it.

Shared links

A shared link stores selected measurements in the URL fragment. The fragment is designed to remain in the browser rather than being sent as part of a normal web request. Anyone receiving the full link can read the included setup values.

Analytics and advertising

BackdropFit uses Google Analytics 4 with consent controls. Analytics storage is denied by default and page visits are measured only after you select “Accept analytics.” Google Analytics may receive ordinary technical information such as browser and device type, approximate location derived from an IP address, the page visited and referrer. BackdropFit does not send your room, backdrop, equipment, subject or camera measurements to Google Analytics.

Your choice is stored in browser local storage under backdropfit-analytics-consent. Use the “Analytics settings” control to change it. Declining keeps analytics storage denied. Revoking an earlier acceptance also attempts to remove BackdropFit’s Google Analytics cookies. Advertising storage, advertising personalization and Google signals remain disabled.

Display advertising is not currently active. BackdropFit loads Google’s AdSense connection script and publishes its verified publisher information so Google can review the site, but no display ad unit is requested because ad-unit identifiers have not been configured. Advertising storage and personalization consent are denied by default.

If display ads are activated, Google and its advertising partners may process browser and device details, IP-derived approximate location, page and referrer information, cookies or similar identifiers to select, deliver, limit and measure ads. Room, backdrop, equipment, subject, camera, saved-plan and shared-plan measurements will not be sent as advertising parameters. A Google-certified consent platform will be used where required. When the advertising consent interface is available, “Privacy & ad choices” will let you revisit those choices.
